How to Roast Pepitas

For this recipe, I used raw pepitas which can be found at most supermarkets. They are green in color and do not have a white outer shell like the seeds that come straight out of a pumpkin.
Making them is simple. First, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Add the pepitas and olive oil to a small mixing bowl. Stir to coat. Then add the cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Stir to coat.
Spread the pepitas onto a baking sheet and roast for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool, and enjoy!

Delicious!

Delicious and so simple to prepare! I used to eat them raw (green), for their health benefits, but now, it's also for the crunchness and flavor.

I have ordered pepita seeds online twice, and more than i care to admit the first time sometimes is a mistake. With the first order, i mistakenly ordered raw pepitas thinking they would be a tasty and healthy snack. They may be healthy, but as bland as the day is long! After a small taste, the rest of the bag went into the cupboard. The second order was for roasted and salted, and what a difference! The 2 pound bag didn’t last long; they were finished tonight. When looking online for a recipe, i came upon your website and i will be trying your recipe tomorrow. The first batch will be tried using a Stir Crazy popcorn popper. Maybe it’ll work, maybe not! Either way, those raw pepitas will get roasted! I’ll let you know how it goes. The only draw back with pepitas is that they’re border line addicting!

So happy that you came across my recipe, enjoy!
