Ingredients

  • 3-4 Fresh Tomatoes
  • 16 ounce Fresh Mozzarella Cheese Log sliced
  • Fresh Basil Leaves small bunch
  • 3 Tablespoons Balsamic Glaze

Instructions

  • Cut the tomatoes into ¼ inch slices.
  • Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices on a board into the shape of a candy cane.
  • Scatter fresh basil leaves on the board as well as a small bowl of balsamic glaze for drizzling.

Notes

  • Any type of rectangular board will do. Wooden cutting boards work nicely. You could even wrap a plastic cutting board or baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  • You should be able to find a mozzarella cheese log that is already pre-sliced. Otherwise cut into ¼ inch thick slices.
  • Balsamic Glaze can be found near the balsamic vinegar at your supermarket.
  • Serve with small plates, a fork for the tomatoes and mozzarella, and a a small spoon for the balsamic glaze.
Enjoy!
